Activities

 

The Minerva Foundation of Tennessee, Inc., sponsors annual and regularly scheduled events, such as programmatic and educational meetings and activities for children and youth, up to age 18. We also sponsor activities for adults and senior adults.

  • When You Look Good You Feel Better—an annual day of pampering, with proceeds supporting breast cancer awareness and research.

  • Healthy Family Day—annual health fair for family members of all ages, providing health education, screenings, and other information for healthy lifestyles.

  • Nontraditional Scholarships—awarded to nontraditional female students enrolled in a post-secondary institution.

  • Minerva’s Closet—prom dress boutique providing complimentary dresses, shoes, cosmetics and accessories to area high school juniors and seniors.

  • Support Educational Enhancement Activities—support youth initiatives that help students tour regional colleges, gain educational and cultural awareness, and helping high school seniors prepare for college entrance exams

  • Dr. Dorothy L. Brown Humanitarian Brunch—an annual event spotlighting local unsung heroes for their contributions to Nashville’s underserved.

  • Jabberwock—recognize young ladies in a six-month pageant and mentoring program that promotes friendship, self-expression, goal-setting, manners and poise to girls and young ladies up to age 18.

  • Collaboration with Community Nonprofit Organizations—providing resources to assist in their community programs, and enlisting volunteers to staff their organizational events.
